I can not wait! Marcus' brother Dom, and his mate, have a dark room van...and atp have given them a massive room to use it in..fancy smancy! also my americans will be over, so i will be clinging on to them [especially michael bender of course!], and spending my mornings swimming and throwing stones into the sea. we are going up a night early and staying with my auntie a few miles away.

I'm too sore.

Derby was intense yesterday. I got there early [just after 6], and we pretty much skated solidly till 9.30. I think i have started to over think jumps, because I fell over a few times...and never good falls. i fell on the side of my bum and on my elbow. oh dear.

Anyway. There is a bit bout against Birmingham tomorrow. I'll be there selling Merch and cheering on the girls. I have my skills assessment on Tuesday, and then I can scimmage with the older girls, (if i pass). Then I have to pick my derby name too! I have a few good ideas, but if anyone has anymore let me know!


I've been busy but haven't seemed to do much...lots of cooking and eating and applying for my teaching course.

I hardly slept last night, because of the rain pounding down on the sky lights. god dam attic room. I am off away on a residential rural weekend with 11 kids and 11 parents today...to walk around in wellies, build camp fires...and hopefully not get ill ill ill.

I have only been home twice this week. It is starting to bother me. I need to be home more. From next week I will be home a minimum 5 nights a week.

derby rambles:
One of the advanced girls has given me her own riedells till I can buy me own! what a winner! they are so nice to skate on. I can get up much more speed, and skating backwards is much easier! HURRAH! I have my skills assessment on the 24th, and the advanced girls have a bit bout against Birmingham on the 21st! Exciting stuff! I have a bruised bottom and sore, tired feet, but I love it. We started doing higher jumps yesterday, so much fun!
I need to get a small bag on wheels, because carrying the stuff round in a French Shopping bag, (you know what I mean if you've been grocery shopping in France...the hyper u or super u bags...?) is sore sore sore.
I have training in Camden, and also have free practice in Earls Court...actually in the exhibition hall...in a huge warehouse room, with red velvet curtains covering the walls, and truss and lights in the corners. anyway, it makes me happy and I feel much less stressed out these days.


I have had a busy week at work, with lots of TA-ing, as people have been off sick... mostly year 4 children. Also we wrote our 'anti-bullying' script in cine club last night. I've had to work experience kids helping out this week, and they keep calling me 'miss' and ask me if they can go to the loo haha.

Also I went to the small press fair at comica, met up with a few old friends, watched the boxing, went to the national gallery and took my granny to the opera [well at the cinema]. I bought a beautiful 'reading is sexy' bag, a few comics and coloruing in bags and a few postcards at comica...but still spent very little money.

this weekend I have babysitting tonight, then a residential weekend away with 11 students. I have only been home Monday and last night, and next week I need to make more of an effort to be home. I will only stay at Marcus' Sunday and Tuesday, and the rest of the week I will park myself here, and spend time in relaxing, watching bad tv, napping and cooking.


I am still poor poor poor. I do a lot of free things in London, and get free tickets to lots of things, (thanks friends)...but still seem to be in the red. After payday I need to buy my families christmas presents early on, so that I can afford to! mmm oh dear. I am mostly making gifts this year.


Also I am going to make a norway zine thingy next week.
